I watched SNL tonight and couldn’t help but notice the ridiculous number of times they played the new “Faces of Influenza” commercial. I’m mostly on the fence about vaccinations, I can see the good and bad behind them, but this commercial has a creepy kind of totalitarian vibe to it. I wasn’t really watching or listening to the commercials, but they played it so often I started taking notice and counted at least once every commercial break in the last half hour of the show.
I can’t find the new commercial but here’s the older one that is basically the same thing. The newer one is more commanding. It seems like they’re really drilling it in good.
